Past and present are intimately interwoven in this poetic reverie, in which a man (Derek de Lint) searches for his childhood memories in the deserted house of his grandparents. He comes to himself at all ages in the house with due grandeur. The disappearance of his beloved Equiline plays an important role. This is a journey to the memory of a memory.
